Yes, students can select an  early arrival date of the Sunday or Monday prior to Move In when reservations open in the CSU Housing Portal (under the Resources tab). There is an added charge of $90/day posted to the student’s account, which includes three meal swipes per day. Early check-in occurs at your hall’s front desk, with a suggested check-in time between 8 a.m.–4 p.m. A duty phone number will be posted to call for urgent matters.

All incoming residents have access to register for Early Move In, and some students are encouraged to do so because of a CSU-related obligation (like marching band, a campus job, international orientation, etc.). These students will receive direct outreach from CSU.

Early Move In is Sunday, Aug. 16–Monday, Aug. 17 only, and prior registration is required to help ensure rooms will be ready. Our facilities are used throughout the summer for conference guests, and we then work diligently to ensure all rooms are ready for the arrival of 6,000+ new Rams at the end of the summer. Because of this timeline, we cannot accommodate arrivals any earlier than Sunday, Aug. 16.
