Reporting Hazards

Please contact community duty staff to report urgent hazards that may need attention. In emergency situations, dial 911. Always remain on the line until the emergency dispatcher has adequate information and tells you that it is okay to hang up the telephone.

Examples of urgent hazards include fire/smoke, significant leaking/flooding, etc.

Please report non-emergency hazards to the front desk. The information will be forwarded to the appropriate department for correction.  Non-urgent hazards include icy walkways, small/slow leaks, malfunctioning equipment, etc.

Solicitation & Business Operation

Door-to-door solicitation, distributing, and advertising are prohibited. Vendors will be asked to leave the area. Any solicitation activities must be reported to University Housing staff. Residents are prohibited from conducting any business or commercial activity, including solicitation or operating a business, from within their apartment unit or the surrounding residential property.

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. This means that staff members are unable to disclose information to anyone other than the student themselves. For more information see the Colorado State University General Catalog or visit the FERPA website.

Advertising

Advertising must be in alignment with CSU advertising policies. Advertisements that do not follow university policy or are posted in areas not designated by University Housing staff will be removed.
