Energy Conservation Tips
- Remember to shut off the bathroom faucet while brushing your teeth or shaving.
- Take shorter showers – if each resident reduced their shower by one minute, we could save approximately 30,000 gallons of water each day.
- Buy recycled products – recycling only occurs when you “close the loop” by purchasing and using products made with recovered materials. Encourage your family and friends to do the same.
- Set your computer to sleep mode when not in use to conserve energy.
- Do not leave lights on when they are not needed.

Renters Insurance
Residents are strongly encouraged to purchase renters’ insurance. A renter’s insurance policy covers their personal possessions, such as computers and other electronics, clothing, and school supplies, from loss and other charges caused by negligence (for example, if damage is caused to the facility that also damages a neighbor’s belongings). Where applicable, a resident’s family’s existing homeowner or renters policy may provide full or partial coverage. Residents should contact their family insurance company for additional information.
Community Garden
Residents interested in participating in a community garden should inquire at the front desk for availability information.
