Live On Requirement
CSU requires that all newly admitted first-year students (Admissions Type “New”) and transfer students with fewer than 15 post-high school credits, who are single, under 21 years of age, and not living with their parents in the Fort Collins area, live in the University residence halls for the first two consecutive terms of their attendance. Credits taken concurrently with high school and/or credits attained through Advanced Placement (AP) do not apply towards living experience.
Undergraduate students that are required to live in the residence halls under the First Year Live On Requirement are generally not eligible to live in Aggie Village.

- The Spring 2027 application is currently available.
- General room selection for all eligible applicants will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 3, continuing as space is available. Room selection timeslots will be assigned based on application date, and an application does not guarantee a room selection timeslot. Room selection timeslots will be issued to applicants’ CSU email.
- Applicants will review and accept the terms of the Aggie Village contract upon completion of the renewal or room selection process.
- Applicants wishing to live on campus who are not able to secure an assignment in Aggie Village are also encouraged to consider applying for the Residence Halls or the Graduate & Family Apartments.
Roommate Options
Finding a Roommate on Your Own
Through the CSU Housing Portal create, browse, message, and form roommate groups based on interactive profiles. You will also be able to make connections with students who may be your classmates, neighbors, co-workers, and fellow Rams.
Have a Roommate Assigned to You
Housing & Dining Services will assign you a roommate based on the profile questionnaire you fill out on your housing application.
Housing Deposit & Application Charge
The Aggie Village contract you acknowledge via the CSU Housing Portal is binding for the entire term. New applicants are required to submit an application charge when applying. Housing deposits are due when a new applicant participates in room selection (or receives an apartment assignment) and completes the Aggie Village contract. Applicants who are eligible for enrollment deferral, including those who are Pell Grant Eligible, receive an automatic waiver.
