Bed Lofting Instructions

All residence hall beds will come set at the standard low height of about 20” with the ability to be lofted to a medium or high height. Beds may be lofted by residents with help from another person. Please follow the bed lofting instructions below. If you are having issues lofting your bed during move in week (Aug 14-16) staff is available 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. by phone at (970) 491-7171. If you would like lofting assistance after move in week please submit a work order at housing.colostate.edu/work-order-request.

Students are expected to return all lofted beds to the standard low height (20”) before moving out in the spring. A properly delofted bed will show 5 pins/notches from the bottom of the headboard.

Failure to do so (or improperly doing so) will result in a $50 fee.

  • Staff will be available to assist if needed
