Reed Diffuser	Flammable liquids are a fire hazard.	Battery operated air freshener dispenser, aerosol sprays, gel bead and charcoal odor absorbers.
Wax Melter	Wax melters utilize a high temperature heating unit via a light bulb or hot plate to melt wax which is a fire hazard. Additionally, putting wax down drains has caused clogs.	Battery operated air freshener dispenser, aerosol sprays, gel bead and charcoal odor absorbers.
Removable Wallpaper	Removable wallpaper creates significant damage to walls and is prohibited. Residents will be charged for damages caused by using wallpaper.	Wall art

Cooking Devices: Rice Cookers, Toasters, Toaster Ovens, Air Fryers, Crock Pots, Pressure Cookers, Panini Makers, Waffle Makers, Electric Popcorn Makers	Cooking is the leading cause of fires in the nation and at CSU. Use of cooking appliances in residence hall rooms is prohibited due to units being a fire hazard.	If student has dietary/allergy restrictions or cultural reasons for needing specific cooking devices, accommodations can be sought by working with Housing, Safety, and SDC.

Charcoal, Propane, Grills, Lighter Fluid, Torches	Flammable liquids, hazardous materials, and items that generate an open flame are prohibited from being stored or used in residence hall rooms.	Store in car or off campus.
