The Eco Leaders Peer Education Program is a group of residential students in the halls and Aggie Village who help raise awareness about sustainability issues and encourage environmentally responsible behaviors of campus residents. Eco Leaders educate their residence hall mates about sustainability issues such as waste reduction and energy conservation and help plan related activities and campaigns.
Residential Eco Leaders must be available for a mandatory class on Thursdays and must be available to work 5 hours per week. These Eco Leaders are eligible to earn up to 3 academic credits through the School of Global Environmental Sustainability (1 credit in the fall and 1-2 credits in the spring) as well as a $1500 housing stipend per semester. Similarly, Aggie Village Eco Leaders must be available for a mandatory meeting on Tuesdays, work 5 hours a week, and will receive a $1500 housing stipend per semester upon successfully completion of the program.
You will be able to attach a resumé and other materials on the next page to help us learn more about your skills and interests as part of the application process. The Eco Leaders program welcomes all students and perspectives, regardless of previous experience.
