I am getting a strict NAT type, can HDS tech services open ports for me?
We can help if your device is getting a strict NAT type. If you are using the wired ethernet network, please call our help-desk at (970-491-4734) with your CSU id number, the MAC address of your gaming device, and the number of the ethernet port you are plugging into (it should be labeled above the port).
If you are using the wireless network, make sure you are connected to CSU-Guest. If you are still getting a strict NAT type in the CSU-guest WiFi please call our help desk and a technician will troubleshoot your issue.
Are wireless printers allowed in the residence halls?
Unfortunately, no. Wireless printers are unable to use enterprise level security and take up a significant amount of network bandwidth which would significantly degrade the quality of the university wireless networks.
We recommend using a USB cable to connect your computer to your printer.
My cable TV is not working, can technology services help me with that?
Cable TV is provided by the Telecommunications department at CSU. They can be contacted at 970-491-1313
I’m having trouble with my eID, who can I contact about that?
The helpdesk in the Morgan Library can help you with your eID. You may also call them at 970-491-7276 and select option 3 from the menu or by email at email@example.com
I’m having trouble connecting to a university wireless network
Try turning your device off then back on again.
You can also try turning the WiFi off on your device then turn it back on again
Lastly, try “forgetting” the wireless network on your device. Once it has been removed from your device, try connecting to it again.
