Residence Hall or Apartment complex residents can connect to CSU and Internet resources via a wired or wireless connection.  Access to the Housing networks requires the use of CSU eID username/password credentials.  There is also a limited wireless network available for guests, friends or family while they are visiting.

The following wireless networks are available:

  • csu-housing-eid  - wireless network access for residents, CSU students/faculty/staff via their eID credentials
  • csu-housing-guest - open wireless network for use by guests, friends or family.  This provides basic access at slower speeds.

Main-campus available wireless networks:

  • csu-eid - wireless network access for CSU students/faculty/staff via their eID credentials
  • csu-guest - open wireless network for use by guests, friends or family.  This provides basic access at slower speeds.

Safe*Connect

Residents using the Housing networks will also be prompted to enter their eID credentials via the "Safe*Connect" login screen once connected to the Housing wired or wireless network.  You should not be prompted again by Safe*Connect as long as your device does not remain disconnected from the Housing network for more than 10 days.  Safe*Connect is only used to automatically register devices that connect to the Housing Network.
